Profile claim terms

Portugal Expats AI profile claims are handled by OCEANIRREQUIETO - UNIPESSOAL LDA, Portugal. Company number: NIF/NIPC 518779700. Registered address: Rua das Murtas, n.º 13, Outeirinho, 2655-437 Ericeira, Mafra, Lisboa, Portugal.

Only the professional, a duly authorised representative of the business, or the legal owner of a sole-trader listing may claim a profile.

We accept exactly four kinds of proof, and you choose one: (a) a six-digit code we email to an address on the business's own domain; (b) a scan or photo of the business licence or registration; (c) a scan or photo of your identity document; or (d) a photo of you holding your passport next to your face.

Free and throwaway mailboxes — Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Sapo and similar — are refused, because anyone can open one in any business's name. No claim is ever approved on a free mailbox address alone.

Documents are uploaded straight into private storage that only the person reviewing your claim can open, through a link that expires within minutes. They are never public, never used for anything else, and never shared with other members.

We delete the document the moment the claim is approved or refused. What remains is a record of which kind of document was checked, by whom and when — never the document itself. If you withdraw your claim before a decision, ask us and we delete it immediately.

Once approved, you can edit the listing. You are responsible for keeping the information accurate and lawful. You can delete the profile and its data at any time.

If someone else disputes your claim, we will pause the claim and ask both parties for one of the four accepted proofs. We reject a claim if we cannot confirm authority.
